The University administration is gradually being reorganised at KTH to become a joint support with similar processes by 2026. HR and Communication are included in a joint organisation. The remaining support functions are located at the EECS school office.

The role of the School Office is to provide management support to the following roles: Head of School, Deputy Heads of School, Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Officer (JMLA), Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA), Programme Directors (PA) Director of Third-Cycle Education (FA), Head of Faculty Renewal (FFA), Heads of Departments, School Management Council and School Faculty Board.
The School Office is led by a Head of Office who co-operates with the four units within the School Office.
The University administration's organisation – description
EECS' university administration is organisationally a unit that belongs to KTH's coordinated University administration (VS), which is led by the university director.
VS is an organisational unit at the President's disposal to support with central administration, planning, policy creation, coordination, quality control, follow-up and evaluation. VS also provides administrative support to schools/equivalent
It consists of the units Management office, Infrastructure and Service, Finance and the School's office of student affairs.
The units HR and Communication are organisationally part of KTH's coordinated University administration.
The main area of responsibility of the Management Office is to provide qualified decision-making support to the school's management (head of school, deputy heads of school, heads of departments and deputy heads of departments) as well as the school's management council and faculty board.
Areas of responsibility such as decisions, agreements, steering documents and guidelines, teacher appointments and promotions, operational planning and follow-up, as well as finance and budget work are handled within the Management Office.
Through various roles, the Management Office's employees coordinate and drive the ongoing work at the school's departments and departments, handle agreements with external parties, produce various types of decision-making documents, handle recruitment and promotion matters, support the school's faculty board and management council, are responsible for the school's work and delegation procedures, provide support in the development of the business plan and budget together with the units concerned, and a variety of other matters.

Student affairs work with educational administration. We work within first-, second-, and third level education. Our work is based on KTH's strategic documents and regulations.

Infrastructure: delivery of mail, office moves, office furniture, kitchens, fruit, printer rooms etc.
Travel and event: doctoral defense celebrations, booking of travel for guests, conferenes & workshops etc.
Purchasing: small and big purchases and procurements.
Record keeping: EECS record keeping system and archives.
Project support: coordination and project management.
