Extended access in the system for course evaluation
Extended access in the system for course evaluation is for those who, at an overall level, work with course evaluations, course analyses and action plans. Extended access enables you to see, among other things, results from course evaluations and completed course analyses. Examples of people who have or can be given extended access are heads of department, directors of studies, programme directors, directors of third cycle education and directors of first and second cycle education.
Course evaluations and course analyses are done automatically in Canvas. Course coordinators can edit course surveys and write course analyses via Canvas, but other roles may need to be able to see several different courses' surveys and course analyses at an overall level. In that case, you need extended access in the system.
What can I see with extended access in the system?
Extended access gives you access to the course list and report view.
The course list is an administrator tool where you can view current courses and course surveys, including course name, course code, response rate, index, and more. The tool also allows you to export course lists to Excel. Please note that you are not authorised to view individual surveys in production.
The report view is a place where you can view course survey reports (without free text answers) and see completed course analyses. Survey reports with free text answers are currently not available with this permission.
More features for action plans will be added in the future.
