Dear all,
With this email, I’d like to welcome a new member, a new co-director for ITRL. Jens Hagman (KTH | Jens Hagman), a former PhD student from MMK, now with outside experiences, has returned to KTH with the purpose of taking the ITRL center into the next level. With the current growth of ITRL – as a research center and as a collaborative platform – we need to put more energy into developing the next step, the ITRL 2.0, to make the growth sustainable.
The main assignment of the co-director is to enable the next phase of ITRL, starting in 2024, and with Jens previous role at MMK I believe this facilitates our collaboration between ITRL and MMK since we now have a person that more easily can see the opportunities that collaboration enables. This is an important piece of the puzzle to build the new research area at MMK that we call CDS, complex dynamic systems, which is a direct result of the RAE.
Anyhow, you will meet Jens at MMK activities, and perhaps at your division meetings, where you will discuss further collaborative opportunities.
Best,
Martin
