Dear all,
The holidays are approaching quickly. I wish that everyone gets a well-deserved time for rest. While it’s easy for me, having family and relatives close by, I realize that we have many colleagues who do not have this privilege and cannot visit family due to long distances, restrictions or other reasons. This time of the year it is extra important to consider other people, to extend an invitation or to pay attention to each other’s needs.
On Wednesday next week, the new president of KTH, Anders Söderholm, will visit the ITM school during 09-13. We will focus on our department, energy department and production department during 09-10.30. I have been asked to bring “a few” researchers. I have asked two; Ulf Olofsson at SKD and Zeinab Raoofi at ITRL, to present what’s happening. Ulf will present the research we do in particle emissions, that impacts a lot of people in our region, and Zeinab will talk about systems research and how this can be a key to future transport solutions (and challenges). The president will be joined by the KTH mgmt. team, and I plan to walk them through our building, at least the lab hall. If you are around, don’t hesitate to interact with the group.
Best,
Martin
