Life and Career Planning programme (LoK)

KTH employees are offered the opportunity to follow a Life and Career Planning programme to maintain their employability and support their professional and personal development. The Life and Career Planning programme is a joint initiative from KTH and the unions at KTH. The costs for the programme are financed through local funds for transitions and adjustments and therefore free of charge for participants.

Conflict management

Training in conflict management can increase your competences to handle conflicts more constructively and in turn contribute to better conditions for a positive work environment. This can be extra valuable when there are many organisational changes. Re-organizations are known to increase the risk of conflict and keeping a good tone and a respectful attitude are often more difficult in situations of conflict.

The Social Partners’ Council offers an online course in conflict management available in both English and Swedish. The course takes ca 3 hours and was developed by Thomas Jordan, previously active as docent and lecturer at the Institute of Occupational Science, University of Gothenburg.

Conflict Management - The Social Partners’ Council

Do you have a management role and wonder how you can prevent and manage conflict? The book “När samarbetet skaver” could be something for you. It is written by one of the founders of Medlingscentrum, one of the partners procured by KTH for mediation. There is material available to start a book circle. The book and material are available in Swedish.
