Education Development and courses in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
These web pages are mainly aimed for teaching staff at KTH. The aim is to provide with information and support when developing courses, education programs, learning environments and finding pathways for teacher training and educational skills development. Arenas for Educational Development and Networking
KTH-wide networking with a focus on education, teaching and learning, such as “Storträffarna” and the PriU Groups are explained.
Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Högskolepedagogik)
The section on Högskolepedagogik (Teaching and Learning in Higher education) provides with information about:
- Higher education teacher training courses, it’s national framework and the opportunities offered at KTH,
- The organization of the provision, quality assurance and development of higher education teacher training courses at KTH [this page is redesigned and will be published during spring 2020]
- validation of higher education teacher training courses (or the equivalent) from another university,
- The ongoing work on improving the university reward for teaching and education development at KTH
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is a method or concept for developing education and learning in higher education based on research, proven experience and collegiality. KTH's own SoTL conference is held every second year.
Material for Development Work
This section provides with a continuously developed selection of guides, recommendations and examples that aims to support education development. At the moment, great emphasis is placed on rating criteria as well as an advanced systematic work with course evaluations and course analyzes (SCA), as both of these areas have recently changed guidelines.
