Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation aims to help employees regain their ability to work as quickly as possible. As a manager, you have access to various resources and support in the rehabilitation process.

Successful rehabilitation with the right support

The goal of rehabilitation is to help an employee return to their full potential at work as soon as possible after a period of absence. If rehabilitation can start early, the person’s work in research, education, or administrative support will also resume earlier. Each case of ill health is unique and can be difficult to manage on your own. Therefore, it’s a good idea to seek support from fellow managers with experience in rehabilitation, from HR, and, if necessary, from occupational health care .

Health and safety representatives or union representatives can provide support for the employee, and they often offer valuable input to you as a manager. As the person responsible for the team, you are accountable for the rehabilitation plan, but several people may have tasks to ensure that rehabilitation works effectively.
