Crisis management

When a crisis occurs, you as a manager play a very important role. A calm and correct handling of a crisis will allow us to return to normal operations at KTH more effectively.

About KTH's crisis management

At KTH, each school or equivalent has a crisis management group led by the Dean of school. It consists of several functions that work together. Always contact the school's crisis management group for advice and support in case of a crisis that affects your department or group, both to manage communication around the crisis and to handle the situation itself.

Examples of crises that may occur:

  • Major fire
  • Workplace accident where someone is injured
  • Violence and threats of violence
  • Threats to IT security
  • Death or severe illness of a colleague or student
  • Natural catastrophe in another part of the world where employees and/or students are present
