Dear all,

First I want to thank everyone for all their contributions to the visit by the Rector this afternoon. The rector was impressed by all of you, by the engagement, enthusiasm, and the discussions in general. I think we now can say that the Department of Engineering Design definitely has made an impression, not the least from our singing skills.

We of course, raised our strong concern about the increased costs of rent and support services. In terms of rent, we were told to expect results already March 31, which, I can only guess, involves decisions to reduce rent by reducing the number of buildings that KTH rents.

Looking ahead, when meeting with the management group and the rector, we got strong support for our intention to establish the subject of Dynamic Complex Systems at KTH. This is now a top priority and we have already applied to open up three assistant professorships in this area.

Our head of school, Pär, said that he had been at many department visits with the rector, and that this was definitely the best, due to the individual meetings with all of you.
