Local IT-Support
Information about the "Local IT Support" service. The service is available to the school that has an agreement with the IT department.
Description
ITA's support organization handles support and troubleshooting of the school's IT environment. This applies to the part that is not covered by the " IT Workplace " and "ICT computer room" services.
The service refers to the possibility for KTH's schools to receive IT support in the local IT environment that is not covered by the computer workplace.
The service intends to fulfil the commitments defined for IT support in KTH's Standard SLA , with the exception that resolution time cannot be guaranteed.
Extent
Self-administered computers
- On-site troubleshooting (up to 30 minutes)
- Installation and reinstallation
- Configuration (Printer, E-mail, file system, etc.)
- Management of licensed software (physical media, licence keys, installation)
- This does not include licence administration, such as licence registers and licence acquisition.
Lab system
- Resource in the design of lab systems
- Installation of lab systems
- Maintenance of lab systems
- Support of lab systems
Other IT-related equipment
- Connection and configuration of printers
- Connection to the network
Limitations
- Services include only KTH owned equipment
- The service is only performed on KTH's premises
- No functional guarantee is given on computers or systems covered by the local IT support service
- In order for systems to be eligible for support, KTH's policy for self-administered computer systems must be followed.

Availability
The service is performed according to KTH's Standard SLA .
Debiting
Tailored together with the customer, depending on the customer's IT environment, etc.
